Job Summary

Birchwood Terrace Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our nursing team in Burlington, Vermont. As an RN, you will play an important role in providing high-quality, resident-centered care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote resident safety, support individualized care plans, and enhance residents' overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and assess residents' physical and emotional needs.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed and within the scope of practice.

• Monitor residents' conditions, identify changes in health status, and communicate concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, interventions, and resident progress.

• Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff to promote safe and effective care.

• Communicate professionally with residents, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.

• Promote resident dignity, comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain nursing knowledge and follow current clinical practices.

• Follow facility policies, infection prevention procedures, and applicable nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and support nursing staff.

• Willingness to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, as required.

• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including assisting with resident transfers and positioning, with appropriate equipment and assistance.
