Warehouse WorkerAssist in the operation of receiving, storing, and dispersing of equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining inventories.High school diploma or GEDValid Texas Drivers LicenseWorking knowledge of the proper storage and issue of materials and equipment.Ability to operate standard tools and equipment housed in the warehouse.Ability to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack. Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds without assistance.Ability to operate and drive refrigerator truck in tight traffic conditions.Good communication and customer service skills.One year warehouse experience preferred and computer skills preferred.Receive all materials ordered and verify accuracy of shipment with the information on the invoice slip or purchase order.Unpack items received and inspect for damage and defects. Record any discrepancies or damage.Store items according to established procedures.Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized facility and work area.Maintain proper storage procedures. Rotate stock appropriately.Issue and record issuance of stock to fill requisitions; deliver material manually or by hand truck to requesting department; obtain authorized signature for supplies requested.Maintain accountability for stock issued to employees, trucks and schools.Maintain warehouse clean, neat and organized and maintain proper storage procedures.Take physical count periodically of stock on hand and verify count with inventory control totals and/or as needed.Notify the supervisor of irregularities in accounting procedures.Requisition additional supplies, as needed, from purchasing department.Maintain custody receipts for items being repaired and loaned out temporarily.Detect needed repairs on building, grounds, and equipment by following inspection procedures.Maintain assigned trucks in a clean, well-kept condition. Report any defects to warehouse supervisor.Uses forklift, ladders, dollies, scaffolding, pallet jacksPhysical Demands/Environmental Factors: Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; excessive heavy lifting and carrying; constant stooping, bending, and reaching and kneeling.Environment: Work inside and outside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; work on ladders and scaffolding; on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; exposure to dampness and humidity; below zero temperature in freezer and cooler.Bryan ISD is an equal opportunity employer.
