About This Role

The 3K Teacher maintains a structured classroom, builds positive relationships with children and families, observes and documents developmental progress, and ensures compliance with all South Carolina DSS licensing regulations and center policies. This role requires professionalism, teamwork, effective communication, and a commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate daily lessons and activities.

Foster language, literacy, math, science, and creative development through play-based learning.

Create a positive classroom environment that encourages independence and confidence.

Supervise children at all times while maintaining health and safety standards.

Conduct observations and developmental assessments and communicate progress with families.

Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, lesson plans, and classroom documentation.

Keep the classroom clean, organized, and inviting.

Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administration, and families.

Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development.

Ensure compliance with DSS regulations, center policies, and classroom ratios.

High school diploma or GED required (CDA, Early Childhood credential, or related degree preferred).

Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.

Knowledge of child development and positive behavior guidance.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.

Demonstrate professionalism and reliability.

Promote a warm, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.

Serve as a positive role model for children.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold the mission and values of Early Beginnings Learning Center.
