Fleet Manager

Henis Group is searching on behalf of a growing, established company to hire a Fleet Manager. This person will oversee the readiness and upkeep of a fleet of 50+ vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, passenger vans, buses, and other commercial vehicles powered by both gas and diesel. This is a hands-on operational management role, not a desk-only position or a full-time mechanic role. The Fleet Manager will inspect vehicles, identify issues, coordinate maintenance and repairs with outside vendors, maintain accurate records, and step in wherever needed to keep the fleet safe, clean, and ready for daily use. What You’ll Own Build and manage preventive-maintenance schedules across a fleet of 50+ vehicles Track mileage, usage, vehicle condition, and upcoming service needs Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical or safety concerns Coordinate oil changes, tires, brakes, batteries, inspections, and other service needs Manage relationships with repair shops, parts suppliers, and other vendors Transport vehicles to repair facilities and other locations when needed Monitor repair activity, maintenance costs, and vehicle downtime Maintain accurate service records using fleet-management software Respond quickly to vehicle issues reported by drivers Ensure vehicles remain safe, clean, and ready for daily operation Maintain an organized and properly stocked vehicle-service area Assist drivers and support other fleet-related operational needs when necessary Recommend improvements that increase fleet reliability and control costs What We’re Looking For Experience in fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, parts, or automotive service Strong understanding of preventive-maintenance programs Practical mechanical knowledge of gas and diesel vehicles Experience coordinating repairs with outside service providers Strong organization, follow-through, and recordkeeping Comfort using fleet or maintenance-management software Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on operational needs Valid driver’s license The Right Fit The right person will be proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking full ownership of fleet readiness. You should be capable of recognizing vehicle issues, coordinating the appropriate solution, and stepping in personally when an operational need arises.
