Role Description The Mortgage Loan Closer is a full-time, on-site role based in Stoneham, MA. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and validating all closing documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with loan approvals and investor guidelines. The role includes coordinating closing schedules, working directly with title companies, escrow agents, attorneys, and credit union partners, and confirming that funding conditions are satisfied prior to disbursement. The Mortgage Loan Closer will verify final fees, manage closing disclosures, track outstanding items, and ensure timely and accurate loan funding. The role also involves resolving document discrepancies, maintaining detailed records in the loan origination system, and supporting continuous process improvement in closing and post-closing activities. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills and experience in the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending. Candidates should possess skills related to preparing, reviewing, and managing Loan Documents. Candidates should possess skills in Funding processes, including coordinating disbursements and verifying conditions. Candidates should possess skills in working with Escrow, title, and settlement agents. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple closings and deadlines. Knowledge of mortgage regulations, compliance requirements, and investor or agency guidelines. Proficiency with loan origination systems and standard office software tools. Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Prior experience as a loan closer, processor, or related mortgage operations role is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance, business, or related fields is beneficial.
