What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Technician - Surgery , you'll support our surgical department, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care. In this role, you will:

• Provide hands-on assistance during procedures-from general patient care and diagnostic workups to advanced interventions-under the guidance of senior technicians and specialists.
• Manage a range of technical tasks , such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and patient record-keeping.
• Maintain a high level of organization , ensuring the department is stocked with necessary supplies and that equipment is ready for immediate use.
• Monitor and care for non-critical and recovering patients
• Administer medications and treatments ( IV, IM, SQ, PO )
• Prepare and manage patient recovery from anesthesia
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, clinicians, and support teams
• Maintain accurate records , follow treatment plans , and assist with patient discharge
• Demonstrate sound medical knowledge and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
• Apply Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to keep patients safe and calm

Anticipated Schedule

This is a full-time position with the following available schedule:

• Monday-Thursday: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Compensation

• Starting at $26.00/hour

What We're Looking For

We're seeking Veterinary Technicians who take pride in precision, remain calm under pressure, and find fulfillment in delivering outstanding patient care. You likely have:

• 1-2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician/Nurse
• CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred or educational equivalent
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a high-volume setting
• Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology, terminology, and disease processes
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• A calm, focused demeanor and a commitment to learning and growth
