ACCOUNTANT

Job brief Due to rapid growth The Gund Company has an excellent career opportunity for a Accountant in Queretaro, Mexico. The Accountant is a key member of the accounting and finance team. The Accountant will ensure monthly financial statements are reported timely and accurately and be a key driver in several strategic and continuous improvement projects. The senior accountant role will work in Queretaro, Mexico. This is a dynamic and engaging role, requiring solid technical accounting skills and continuous improvement mindset. Essential Job Functions

• Supporting tasks in accordance with the month-end close schedule
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Record and reconcile weekly and biweekly payroll journal entries
• Research and reconcile all material discrepancies within GL accounts
• Assist in monthly preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
• Analyze results in comparison to Budget and Forecast
• Assist in maintaining manufacturing ERP software
• Support accounting manager with special projects and workflow process improvements
• Assist with preparation of year-end review with external accounting firm
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 3 + years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or manufacturing environment for multinational companies.
• 1 + years of progressive experience in the corporate taxation area, including current knowledge of any corporate tax developments (ISR and VAT)
• English – Advanced Level
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Spanish and English)
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables.
