The Accountant manages and streamlines the medical directorship invoicing process and oversees miscellaneous billing, cash receipts posting, and payment reconciliations for Eventus WholeHealth, driving efficiency through process improvements. Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, this role uses Power BI, Sage Intacct, and advanced Excel, collaborates across departments, and ensures accuracy in all accounting and financial reporting processes Qualifications: Education, Licensure and Certifications, Related Work Experience Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Accounting preferred Minimum 2 years of related accounting experience Other specialized skills and knowledge necessary to perform this job. (e.g., basic accounting principles, computer skills and software, specific healthcare processes, interpersonal, communication, etc.) Solid understanding of accrual accounting and U.S. GAAP; experience with accounts receivable, allowance calculations, and reconciliations Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Sage Intacct preferred (general ledger, AR reconciliations, reporting, customer setup, and journal entries) Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence / data-visualization tools; ability to build dashboards and reports and derive insights from data Excellent attention to detail and organization; strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines with minimal supervision Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities Medical Directorship Invoicing & Process Improvement: Oversee the medical directorship invoicing process—from contract maintenance to invoicing, payment allocation, collections, and termination and implement process improvements using Power BI, Sage Intacct, and advanced Excel to ensure efficiency and accuracy at every step Billing & Collections: Prepare and record miscellaneous client account billing, track overdue invoices, and ensure timely collection follow-ups Cash Receipts Posting: Post cash receipts to customer accounts, ensuring payments are applied accurately, to the correct account, and on a timely basis Allowance & Reconciliation: Develop an accurate process to record medical directorship and miscellaneous billing allowances based on historical collections and other relevant data; apply payments, reconcile facility accounts, and initiate payments to physicians Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and deliver medical directorship, physician, and clinic-hour reports to leadership; develop dashboards and visualizations to provide insight into key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and deliver medical directorship, physician, and clinic-hour reports to leadership; develop dashboards and visualizations to provide insight into key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends Invoice & Payment Inquiries: Ensure timely responses to facility and employee inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and discrepancies, providing excellent customer service and resolution Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management: Reconcile transactions with company bank accounts, ensure all transactions are accurately posted to the general ledger, and perform daily cash reconciliation and tie‑out with the third‑party biller Other: Assist the accounting team on various projects and other general accounting and month‑end close duties as assigned Compliance Requirements Adherence to Laws, Rules, Regulations, Standards, Guidelines, Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, standards, guidelines, and Eventus WholeHealth policies and procedures pertaining to the job. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete documentation when performing the job duties. Ensure that all Eventus WholeHealth information, data, documentation, and records are always safeguarded and maintained confidentially. Training and Education: Participate in all assigned training. Complete all assigned training by the deadline for completion. Risk Management and Incident Reporting: Engage in regular risk assessments to identify potential risks and work proactively with a supervisor and Eventus WholeHealth’s Chief Compliance and Risk Officer to mitigate any identified risks. Promptly report any incidents (as defined in the “Incident Report Policy”) to the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer.
