Embedded Test Engineer

Contract Test EngineerTechnical Requirements: 5+ years of experience in Embedded Systems Engineering or Embedded Software Development. Strong experience with Python scripting. Experience working with CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol. Strong electronics and hardware background. Embedded circuitry MCU-based systems. Hardware-level troubleshooting and validation. Ability to work onsite in Portage, MI 4-5 days per week.Additional Requirements: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment. Ability to quickly understand complex embedded systems.Responsibilities: Develop, modify, and execute test scripts to validate embedded hardware and firmware functionality. Perform system-level testing on MCU and circuit board-based products. Troubleshoot and debug hardware/software integration issues. Work closely with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects. Analyze existing test frameworks and improve test coverage where necessary. Read, maintain, or potentially rewrite legacy test scripts in Python. Support fixture setup and execution of test activities in a lab environment. Insight Global
