Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Work Flexibility: HybridWhat You Will Do: We are looking for a collaborative Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving continuous improvement of released products. In this role, you will lead software sustainment efforts, investigate and resolve product issues, implement design changes, and partner across functions to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to quality, reliability, and patient impact.• Analyze and correct complex product design issues, using independent judgment• Code development time/resource estimation to support sustainment projects•Generate and review the necessary documents to support software sustainment projects. (requirements/design/architecture/bugs/test)• Be proficient with and mentor others in usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulations• Follow and mentor others on post market/sustainment procedures like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management System• Support post-market / sustaining engineering activities, including investigation and resolution of product issues in the field and manufacturing• Drive design changes and continuous improvement efforts for released products (e.g., CAPAs, nonconformances, reliability issues)• Act as a technical SME for production line escalations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementationWhat You Will Need:Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline2+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems using C, C++, and/or Python.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledgeable with integrated development environments (IDE) for projectsKnowledgeable with tools for static/dynamic analysis, memory management, code coverage and techniques for analyzing softwareKnowledge in integration and deployment processesSoftware Development Life Cycle processesKnowledge in creating estimates for code implementation time/resource for assigned tasks and projectsKnowledge from using Application Lifecycle Management /Traceability tools$89,300 - $148,800 USD AnnualTravel Percentage: 10%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
