Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role focuses on supporting oncology patients through various clinical tasks tailored to the needs of the practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triage appropriately, and offer reassurance along with clear patient education and guidance.
• Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery during patient visits by accurately completing and updating medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Monitor patients exhibiting abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document observations thoroughly.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings under supervision.
• Manage medication samples and logs, coordinate necessary patient testing or admissions, and facilitate referrals as required.
• Distribute educational materials and ensure patients understand treatment plans and medication instructions.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and verifying equipment functionality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.

This position operates on a day shift schedule within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest United States.
