Part-Time Home Care Assistant - East Dallas

East Dallas, TX | $14.00 per hour | Tuesday & Thursday Daytime Schedule

Harmony At Home Senior Care has an immediate opening for a caring and reliable individual to provide in-home assistance to a client in East Dallas .

The primary assignment is a short daytime schedule two days per week, making this an option for caregivers who are looking for supplemental hours or who would like to combine this assignment with additional clients through our agency.

Position Details

This client requires coverage on:

Tuesday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Thursday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

The regular rate for this assignment is $14.00 per hour , for approximately 8 scheduled hours per week .

Applicants should be able to reliably travel to the client's home in East Dallas and maintain both scheduled days on an ongoing basis.

Although this opening is for an 8-hour weekly client schedule, you do not have to limit your work with Harmony At Home Senior Care to this assignment.

More schedules and hours with other clients are available upon request.

If you are interested in working additional hours, provide our Scheduling Team with your complete availability. We can review other current client needs that may work around this Tuesday and Thursday assignment.

Additional assignments vary by client, location, schedule, qualifications, and availability.

Opportunities for Increased Shift Rates

Our agency regularly has urgent staffing needs when client shifts require short-notice or difficult-to-fill coverage.

Harmony At Home Senior Care frequently offers increased pay rates for qualifying urgent coverage shifts, commonly ranging from $16.00–$20.00 per hour .

Urgent coverage rates are specific to the shift being offered and are not the regular rate for this position. Availability of these opportunities varies based on current staffing needs.

Providing Care in the Client's Home

Caregivers help clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes while providing assistance according to an established plan of care.

Your duties may include:

• Providing companionship and supervision

• Assisting with personal care and daily routines

• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance

• Supporting safe mobility and transfers

• Preparing meals or snacks

• Providing medication reminders

• Completing light housekeeping related to the client's care

• Assisting with authorized errands or transportation

• Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition or needs

• Completing required shift documentation

Specific responsibilities are determined by the individual client's care plan.

Applicant Requirements

We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate consistent attendance, professional communication, and dependable transportation.

Applicants should be able to:

• Commit to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

• Reliably commute to East Dallas

• Maintain dependable and punctual attendance

• Work independently in a client's home

• Follow written care instructions and agency policies

• Communicate appropriately with clients, families, and agency staff

• Complete required onboarding and training

A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation are required for applicable client assignments.

Previous home care or caregiving experience is preferred. Relevant experience may include work as a caregiver, PCA, HHA, CNA, personal care attendant, senior care provider, assisted living caregiver, memory care caregiver, or similar experience.
