Description Full‑time, night‑shift position located in Troy, NY for a Registered Polysomnographic Technician – Sleep Center. Position Highlights Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development Work/Life: Monday – Friday 12‑hr night shifts Responsibilities A Registered Polysomnographic Technician is a lead worker who demonstrates expertise in performing various types of sleep testing procedures. The technician identifies abnormalities, performs tests adhering to Department standards, and consistently produces records of high technical quality. They act as a resource person for the Licensed Polysomnography Technician. Education Requirements Graduation from an accredited Polysomnography program with an AAS, registered (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and a valid Polysomnogram License in NYS. OR Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an AAS and a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy License in NYS. A sleep disorder specialist add‑on or registration (RPSGT) is preferred. Experience Requirements One to three years’ experience in a sleep lab. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to use applied technology in a clinical setting. Pay Range $32.29 - $46.82 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
