Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations with diverse populations from children to seniors using both standardized tests and observational reviews.
• Create individualized treatment plans that capture both immediate goals and long-term communication or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personal speech therapy sessions that target areas like language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Work in partnership with a multidisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families to reinforce development outside of your clinical sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain consistent care throughout a patient's journey.
• Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification by ASHA is not yet attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days after employment.
