Shop Assistant

Shop Assistant Trillium Staffing is currently seeking a shop assistant to add to our client's growing team! The main duties of the shop assistant will be to pull and prep raw materials for upcoming orders. Other duties include assisting machine operators and welders with production needs, grinding/deburring, tapping, drilling, and making sure all raw materials are accounted for and tracked accurately. Assisting with operation of lasers, brake presses, saws and other methods of fabrication may also be involved in this role. The company is willing to train a candidate with a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn! This is a first shift position working Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm and Friday, 6:00 am - 12:00 pm. There is also a weekend shift available working Friday through Sunday, 11:30 am - 12:00 am, work 36 hours but paid for 40! Wages are based on experience, $18-$24/hr. Qualifications - 1-2+ years' work history in an industrial/shop environment. Previous fabrication shop experience a huge plus. Ability to multi-task and take on new duties. Experience with hand/power tools. Experience with micrometers and calipers a huge plus. Able to lift up to 50lbs. Trillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
