Billing Coordinator

Empire Pipe Services (EPS) is seeking a part-time Billing Coordinator to support our municipal underground utility inspection, maintenance, and trenchless rehabilitation operations. This position is well suited to a detail-oriented, organized individual with a civil construction background and experience managing billing and financial documentation.

This role is intended to be part-time, approximately 2-3 days per week, generally between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, averaging around 20 hours per week. It is an excellent opportunity for a retired professional, or anyone not seeking full-time employment, who wishes to remain active and apply their experience in a flexible capacity.

**Responsibilities:** Compile project data in preparation for billing submittals; review project documentation and data for accuracy and completeness; prepare supporting documentation and backup for final billing (final bill preparation and submission is handled by the office manager); coordinate with project managers and field staff to confirm billing details, quantities, change orders, and time and material entries; maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation for each project; provide general administrative and office support as needed.

**Qualifications:** 10+ years of experience in the civil construction industry preferred; prior experience in a management role and in a billing capacity required; knowledge of the sewer maintenance or municipal utility industry is a plus; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; proficiency with spreadsheets and billing software; strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with field and office staff.

**Schedule:** part-time, approximately 2-3 days per week, generally between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, averaging approximately 20 hours per week - not intended as full-time employment, well suited to a retiree or individual seeking supplemental work.
