BSA Analyst I

First General Bank is a full-service commercial bank, with an emphasis on developing a business and professional clientele within the Southern California area. The bank focuses on personalized service, offering a full range of traditional and online core consumer and commercial banking products and cash management services for small to medium sized businesses and individuals in Southern California. Responsibilities Conduct monthly alert investigations from the Bank’s Anti Money Laundering System. Conduct customer relationship reviews related to Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) and Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), and adhere to BSA regulatory guidelines and the bank’s practices. Familiar with BSA regulations and laws related to Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), and maintain new and/or existing customer onboarding risk profiles. Conduct enhanced due diligence on customer account transaction activity and prepare Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) as needed. Review and process FinCEN 314(a) Requests. Review Currency Transaction Reports. Follow the Bank’s policies and procedures; complete tasks correctly and timely. Performs any other duties assigned. Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced level of Excel is a plus, with strong analytical skills. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions. Ability to solve problems, work independently with minimal supervision while performing duties and interact effectively with staff at all levels. Ability to identify potentially suspicious transactions and/or customer behavior through analysis of transactions, negative media, and/or documents provided.
