Petroleum Construction Technician

Position Overview We are hiring a Petroleum Construction Technician to gather site information, work independently on small projects, and collaborate with a team on larger projects. This full‑time position offers competitive pay and benefits, with opportunities for career growth. Pay and Benefits: $30–$35 per hour depending on experience. Full benefits, PTO, 401(k) with match, company truck, gas card, cell phone, and laptop. Responsibilities Complete site walks and provide insights on construction projects. Assist with site preparation, including setting up and removing structures and tools. Operate hand tools and construction equipment. Work independently and/or with a team to install drop tubes, risers, fuel lines, spill buckets, and other petroleum-related components. Pour and finish small sections of concrete, including setting rebar. Load, unload, and transport construction materials. Conduct testing, maintenance, and repair of petroleum fuel lines and tanks. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements. Maintain a safe and organized work environment through daily site clean‑up. Support skilled tradespeople and follow safety procedures on the job site. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Colorado Qualified Service Technician (QST) certification. Previous experience in construction, petroleum systems, or mechanical/electrical services. Experience with fuel dispensers, pumps, hydraulic equipment, or petroleum construction is a plus. Strong physical stamina for tasks requiring lifting up to 75 lbs, twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting. Ability to operate construction tools and machinery. Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills. Strong desire to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks. Commitment to safety with knowledge of industry safety protocols. Travel Requirements Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered. Pre‑Employment Requirements The position is safety‑sensitive and requires: passing a comprehensive drug test (including marijuana), a pre‑employment physical capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record over the past five years.
