– Obtain and record vital signs including height, weight, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure.

– Prepare patients for exams by recording medical history, medications, and allergies.

– Perform EKG/ECG procedures, including 12-lead ECG, with accuracy and professionalism.

– Assist with office duties such as insurance verification, authorization forms, chart preparation, and pharmacy calls.

– Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care.

– Stock supplies and maintain clinical areas to ensure smooth workflow.

– Review laboratory test results and assist in rooming patients.

– Facilitate telephone triage and provide professional communication with patients and staff.

– At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic setting.

– Strong proficiency in vital signs collection, EKG procedures, and patient preparation.

– Experience with office duties such as insurance verification, authorization forms, and scheduling.

– Familiarity with charting and documentation using electronic health record systems.

– Ability to review lab results and assist in patient rooming.

– Excellent communication and professional skills.

– Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C preferred) or Registered Medical Assistant (MA-R considered).

– Current BLS certification.

– Valid MA license in the state of practice.

– Experience with EPIC charting system is required.

– Candidates must be willing to commit to a full-time daytime schedule (8:30 am – 5:00 pm) Monday through Friday.

– This position is open to local candidates within a 50-mile radius, with consideration for non-local candidates as well.

– Previous cardiology or outpatient clinic experience is highly preferred.

– First-time candidates are accepted; for experience, at least one year in a relevant setting is required.

– No weekend or on-call requirements.

– Willingness to work in-person at the clinic and adhere to facility dress code and protocols.
