Environmental Field SupervisorThe Environmental Field Supervisor will work in industrial settings at multiple client facilities while training and directing the work of fellow team members. The employee will also participate in business development opportunities to generate new and ongoing client work and relations. Activities for this role will be largely field based.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):A two-year technical degree with two or more years of relative experience OR six or more years in the Air Quality field is required.A minimum of two years of industrial experience is required.Bachelors in an environmental field with two or more years of relative experience is preferred.Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record.Must possess a TWIC card.Knowledge of common engineering concepts, practices, standards, and procedures.Ability to read, interpret, create, and assemble from drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and sketches.Strong electro/mechanical troubleshooting skills.Must have good written and verbal skills including the ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word, and other technical programs.Must have knowledge of ambient air monitoring and concepts, Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems, and air regulations.Must have experience in some capacity with fence line monitoring.Must have basic troubleshooting knowledge of analytical equipment.Must have Basic Safety Plus.Attributes:Self-Directed – Shows initiative and the ability to organize oneself. Proficient listener.Safety-conscious – Values the safety of self and others by following all regulations and guidelines, wearing necessary PPE, and continuously upholding safety expectations.Detail-Oriented - Able to pay close attention to the small particulars when working on a task in order to produce a high-quality product.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Drives to and in client facilities.Obtains permits at client facilities.Completes JSA's and toolbox meetings.Conducts facility inspections/audits/sampling.Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of air monitoring equipment.Assists with the construction, operation and maintenance of stationary continuous emissions monitoring systems and mobile ambient air monitoring stations.Generates accurate and complete documentation of field activities.Responsible for client project management including budgeting, setting and managing client expectations, developing detailed project plans, defining the scope of the project, understanding project risks, and assigning team members to specific tasks.Responsible for various phases of proposal writing, including drafting, writing, editing, and proofreading.Aids in business development opportunities, including meeting with current and potential clients to bring in new opportunities and projects.Trains incoming and current employees in internal and external processes and procedures.Supervises fieldwork personnel and ensuring quality work is being provided.Participates in both internal and external conferences and meetings relevant to role.Communicates effectively and updates Air Quality Monitoring Manager about on-going projects.Responsible for coordinating, holding, and leading weekly team meetings.Adheres to all safety requirements set forth by Providence and clients of Providence.Responds to company and client calls including during extended hours of evenings, nights, and weekends and work overtime when necessary.Physical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
