Start Date: 05/18/2026

End Date: 08/15/2026

Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Hours/Week: 36 hours/week (3-4 shifts per week)

Employment Type: Contract

Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (preferred)

Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience; cross-training and float skills to Adult ICU/Med/Surg preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality patient care in a busy PICU environment
• Titrate IV medications, including pressors, insulin, and sedation agents
• Administer and monitor wound care, drains, and wound vacs
• Collect peripheral blood draws and manage central lines
• Collaborate with hospitalist, intensivist, and resource teams
• Support patient and family education and discharge planning
• Adapt to unit needs, floating to adult ICU or Med/Surg as qualified
• Follow hospital protocols and maintain compliance with all certifications

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP preferred)
• At least 2 years PICU experience
• Strong PIV skills, ability to titrate critical medications
• Comfortable with telemetry, wound care, drains, and blood draws
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam

• Cross-training in adult ICU or Med/Surg
• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris pumps
• Flexibility to work holidays and scheduled weekend rotations
