Monitor Technician HUC

Position Summary The Monitor Technician/Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) plays an essential role in providing high-quality patient care, monitoring, and mobility. FTE: Per Diem | Shift: Variable | Schedule: TBD Responsibilities Perform receptionist and communications duties on the patient care unit Observe telemetry monitoring and recognize cardiac dysrhythmias Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups Use independent decision-making and strong interpersonal skills regularly Collaborate with the Clinical Director and charge nurse for optimal care delivery and patient services Requirements High school graduate or equivalent (preferred) Completion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and a basic arrhythmia course (preferred) One (1) year of patient care experience (preferred) One (1) year equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting (preferred) On- the-job training: successful completion of rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency test. Experienced technicians may bypass training by passing the competency test. Benefits Competitive salary range: $25.15 – $41.57 USD.
