Job Duties

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and in-depth history reviews
• Play an active role in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions through the analysis of imaging and lab findings
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement surgical treatment plans tailored to each patient
• Provide assistance in the operating room, which includes preparing the surgical environment, positioning patients accurately, and passing necessary instruments during operations
• Ensure outstanding pre- and post-operative care is delivered, which encompasses medication management, wound treatment, discharge arrangements, and patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Experience in clinical rotations with a surgical emphasis is highly recommended

Certifications Required

• A valid and active PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
