As a Site Coordinator in our After School Program, you’ll lead a team that creates a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for elementary‑aged children. You’ll guide daily program operations, coach and support staff, and build strong relationships with families and school partners. This year‑round position continues into the summer, where you’ll take on a leadership role in our Y Day Camp program. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must meet the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) qualifications for a Site Coordinator. Minimum 1–2 years of experience leading youth programs, activities, or groups. Demonstrated ability to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment for children and families. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Requirements Must provide and maintain all documentation and certifications required by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Must successfully complete all required trainings, certifications, and program orientation in accordance with EEC regulations and YMCA of the North Shore standards. Ability to uphold YMCA policies, procedures, and core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Work Environment & Physical Demands Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to actively participate in program activities, including standing, walking, bending, and engaging with children throughout the day. Must be able to respond appropriately and immediately to unexpected situations and emergencies. Ability to maintain a high level of awareness and supervision to ensure the safety and well‑being of all participants. Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments as program activities require.
