This full-time position offers the chance to work directly with both high school and middle school students enrolled in the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) program, guiding them on a specialized diploma pathway.

As a valued educator, you’ll serve four high school students and six middle school students, providing instruction tailored to individual learning needs. Your role will be essential in running IEP meetings and overseeing the educational progress of students with unique learning profiles, ensuring compliance and collaboration with families and staff.

Desired qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience leading IEP meetings and facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration
• Understanding of OCS programs or alternative diploma pathways
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, structured classroom environment
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Flexibility and dedication to student engagement and academic development

Your key responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to OCS students, supporting their progress toward graduation
• Develop, monitor, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Engage in regular communication with families, support staff, and district representatives
• Record detailed progress notes and manage educational documentation
• Lead and participate in team meetings, staying current with best practices in special education
• Provide advocacy and promote life skills in preparation for student post-graduation success
