Software Developer, Backend Infrastructure Responsibilities Develop and maintain a complex and scalable API for serving data to a large number of users. Create fail‑safe archiving tools for real‑time data collection and logging API activity. Quickly identify and address production errors with robust solutions. Work closely with a small team to build an exciting consumer‑facing product. Qualifications Strong Python 3 knowledge and extensive experience with back‑end databases. Strong communication skills. Ability to maintain multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Working knowledge of Linux. Experience building APIs that can scale up to millions of users. React.js, React Native, and Django experience are a plus. Responsibilities Research historical sports data to develop causally predictive models. Work with experienced modellers and developers to implement live predictions. Utilize cutting‑edge statistical techniques to improve existing models. Analyze logged model output to detect patterns and anomalies. Qualifications Substantial work experience as a quantitative analyst, and/or strong educational background in Statistics, Math, or Physics from a top‑tier university. Strong Python coding skills and SQL experience. Experience with R and C++ a bonus. Ability to manage and process large data sets. Working knowledge of Linux.
