Executive Director, Manatee County, FL

Hiring Salary Range – $115,000 – $135,000 (Annually) The Manatee County Housing Authority (MCHA) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead the organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for a results-oriented professional to lead a mission-driven organization in a highly engaged, hands on operational leadership position. The Executive Director report directly to the Board of Commissioners. This role requires an accomplished professional with a proven background in public housing agency management and comprehensive knowledge of HUD regulations, policies, and procedures governing Low-rent Public Housing, Section Eight Housing Choice Voucher, Section Eight Project-Based Housing and Section Eight Project Based Rental Assistance Housing. This is a highly engaged, operational leadership position—ideal for an individual who thrives in a small-team environment and is prepared to oversee both strategic direction and daily operations, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local requirements. Key Requirements and Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational leadership for all Housing Authority programs and staff. Ensure compliance with HUD regulations and all applicable laws. Oversee financial management, budgeting and long term planning. Build community partnerships and represent the Authority at local, state and federal levels. Advance the mission of providing safe, quality, affordable housing for Manatee County. Qualifications Proven leadership experience in Public Housing, Affordable Housing or a related field. Strong knowledge of HUD programs, regulations and compliance requirements. Demonstrated financial and operational management skills. Commitment to, public service, strengthening our community and resident-focused outcomes. Competitive Salary and Benefits $115,000-$135,000, with exceptional candidates potentially considered above this range.
