Job Details Position Description: The role involves practicing independently in a labor and delivery department, delivering both routine and complex nursing care with an emphasis on assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects, documenting patient information, and providing education to patients, families, and caregivers. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; current certification from AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM); current NRP certification; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification; current Basic Life Support certification; RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state. Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member, with onboarding validated through successful completion of required competencies. Experience in a Perinatal or Labor and Delivery setting is preferred.
