Application Manager - Guidewire PolicyCenter

Location: Hybrid (Lake Mary, FL – Onsite Required) Compensation: $170K – $180K + Bonus This is a hybrid role – candidates must be local or willing to commute. No remote option available. About the Opportunity We’re partnering with a leading organization in the insurance space seeking an experienced Application Manager – Guidewire PolicyCenter to lead support, delivery, and optimization of core insurance platforms. This role is a blend of technical leadership, application support, and hands‑on development , with a strong focus on Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) . You’ll play a critical role in ensuring system stability, driving improvements, and leading a team responsible for mission‑critical insurance applications. What You’ll Do Application Ownership & Support Operations Lead support and maintenance of Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications Oversee incident management, issue triage, and service request resolution Monitor application performance and conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues Ensure high system availability and operational stability Technical Leadership & Development Participate across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Design, develop, and maintain applications using Gosu and Guidewire frameworks Configure PolicyCenter using PCFs, workflows, batch processes, and integrations Perform code reviews and enforce development best practices Build and maintain integrations using SOAP/REST APIs, XML, JSON Support integrations across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter , and external systems Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on production issues Partner with product owners, QA, and engineering teams to manage delivery and risks Participate in agile ceremonies (scrum, backlog grooming, design sessions) Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and delivery outcomes Leadership & Team Oversight Lead and mentor a team of support analysts and engineers Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders Ensure delivery objectives are met while maintaining a strong team environment What We’re Looking For Must-Have Experience 10+ years of experience working with Guidewire InsuranceSuite , with a focus on PolicyCenter Strong hands‑on experience with: PCF configuration SOAP/REST APIs, XML, JSON integrations Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise production systems Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Guidewire upgrades and portal integrations Exposure to cloud environments (AWS) Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing Background working in insurance or financial services environments Experience leading teams and managing vendor relationships Why This Role Stands Out High‑impact leadership role supporting core business platforms Opportunity to work across development, support, and architecture Strong compensation and comprehensive benefits package Collaborative environment with visibility across IT and business teams Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
