Speech-Language Pathologist

DESCRIPTION

The Learning Academy (TLA) in Jupiter, FL is looking for a great SLP to provide speech and language services at a charter school for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Housed on the state-of-the-art Els Center for Excellence campus, TLA is at the forefront of education and therapeutic services for individuals on the autism spectrum.

SLP duties within The Learning Academy include:

• push-in and pull-out therapies
• development of individualized communication and language goals
• training and coaching team members in communication facilitation strategies
• conducting assessments and tracking student progress
• leading instruction in social skills and pragmatics
• developing individualized communication supports (including AAC)
• contributing to the mission of the school to create an excellent educational experience for students on the autism spectrum
