Senior Staff Accountant

Job Description

The HT Group is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join a client team between the Warren and Kountze areas.\n

Position Details
•   Job Type : Contract to Hire / Full-Time\n
\n•     Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM\n
\n•     Pay : $50,000–$60,000/year ($24–$29/hour), DOE\n
\n•     Dress Code : Business Casual / Professional\n
\n
Key Responsibilities
•    Handle daily AP/AR , invoices, payments, and financial transactions.\n
\n•    Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
•    Prepare financial reports and summaries and help identify account discrepancies.\n
\n•    Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general accounting tasks.\n
\n•    Work with management and staff on accounting-related questions.\n
\n
Requirements & Qualifications
•    2+ years of accounting experience , preferably with strong AP/AR experience.\n
\n•    Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close.\n
\n•    Strong Microsoft Excel skills.\n
\n•    Experience with Tyler Technologies or a similar accounting system is a plus; training will be provided on the company's system.\n
\n•    Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through.\n
\n•    Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.\n
\n
