We are seeking an _exceptional_ Executive Director to lead one of the most innovative physician-founded memory care communities in California while helping redefine what dementia care can become. This is more than an Executive Director position. It is an opportunity to help build a new model of senior living that integrates evidence-based medicine, lifestyle medicine, hospitality, technology, and person-centered dementia care.

*Work Alongside the Founder *As Executive Director, you will work directly with Raj Kalra, MD, Founder of Aroha Memory Care and MD Senior Wellness.

After more than 16 years in physician leadership, Dr. Kalra founded Aroha with a vision of transforming senior living through evidence-based care, innovation, wellness, and compassionate leadership. Rather than simply overseeing daily operations, you will collaborate closely with Dr. Kalra to continue developing Aroha's unique care model, refine operational systems, introduce new technologies, strengthen community partnerships, and create an organization that serves as a model for the future of dementia care.

*Key Responsibilities of the position*

Leadership & Culture

* Lead daily operations across all departments.

* Build an engaged, high-performing team committed to exceptional resident experiences.

Resident Experience

* Ensure every resident receives individualized, compassionate, evidence-based care.
* Promote dignity, purpose, engagement, and wellness in every aspect of community life.
* Partner with families and healthcare providers to support residents' evolving needs.

Regulatory Excellence

* Ensure compliance with California RCFE regulations and licensing requirements.
* Maintain survey readiness and promote a culture of quality and safety.
* Oversee all required documentation, policies, and staff training.

Team Development

* Recruit, mentor, and retain exceptional team members.
* Foster leadership development and professional growth.
* Promote ongoing education in dementia care and wellness.

Sales & Community Engagement

* Lead occupancy growth through relationship-building and exceptional customer experiences.
* Conduct personalized tours and family consultations.
* Develop referral relationships throughout Sonoma County.
* Represent Aroha at community events, educational programs, and professional organizations.

Financial & Operational Excellence

* Manage budgets and financial performance.
* Oversee vendor relationships and facility operations.
* Ensure efficient, high-quality systems throughout the community.

*Qualifications*

* Current California RCFE Administrator Certification
* 35+ years of senior living leadership experience (memory care preferred)
* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* Demonstrated success in operations, sales, financial management, and team development
* Passion for improving the lives of older adults
* Commitment to evidence-based, person-centered dementia care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
