The University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry has an opening for a prn adjoint sr instructor or adjoint sr instructor in the emergency department (cdu2). Key responsibilities include managing psychiatric treatment needs of populations primarily in cdu2, participating in clinical research and dissemination of findings, including presentation of scholarly writing. This position will also participate in performance improvement activities, quality improvement, patient safety activities; assist in maintaining compliance with jcaho accreditation and other internal and external regulatory statues including the code of conduct. • adjoint instructor: 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. board certification with american nurse credentialing agency or equivalent certification body active and unrestricted license in colorado as an apn/rxin or pa; or md/do degree and board certified or eligible in psychiatry
• adjoint sr. instructor: 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. board certification with american nurse credentialing agency or equivalent certification body and active and unrestricted license in colorado as an apn/rxin or pa; or md/do degree and board certified or eligible in psychiatry

preferred qualifications: experience working in psychiatry. experience working in residential and community-based settings. experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. current and active certification in basic life support (bls)
