ERP Business Analyst

Job Purpose The ERP Business Analyst will leverage strong analytical skills to solve complex business problems across multiple functional areas (Production control, Asset management, Quality management, and Master planning modules) and provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and implementing systems and applications to support business requirements. The role requires a highly motivated, self‑driven individual with strong business process acumen paired with technical and ERP systems expertise. This person will work independently, is naturally inquisitive, and adept in communication and facilitation. The position demands leadership in the business analysis discipline and applying working knowledge of the company, industry, and/or business domain. Responsibilities Act as a technical subject matter expert and liaison between the business and IT to identify and develop business and systems modification/enhancement requirements. Work with internal stakeholders and external parties to build, enhance, maintain, test, monitor, troubleshoot, and support the company's primary Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and legacy ERP platforms and related business systems. Have a deep knowledge and understanding of the production control module in D365 F&O, including production route and resource setup and the impact of this setup on production order transactional postings. Understand quality orders and inventory status change processes. Work as a trusted partner with the plants' maintenance departments to ensure all plants are consistently re‑setup following best practices regarding asset setup, work order setup, and spare parts room procedures. Collaborate closely with the planning team to ensure that master planning data is accurately configured, enabling MRP functions to operate effectively. Understand integrations between D365 F&O and other business systems and ensure data passing between systems is accurate and complete. Help identify opportunities for process improvements, controls, and simplification through technology and automation. Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on‑time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following established escalation paths; facilitating end‑user testing. Manage day‑to‑day operational IT service management and support activities related to the ERP systems and integrations, along with other assigned applications. Qualifications BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education and experience. 2+ years hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O); 5+ years demonstrable experience deploying and supporting ERP functionality in Asset Management, Production Control, Quality Management, and Master Planning. Experience with Dynaway asset management, including Dynaway mobile for D365 F&O strongly preferred. Experience as a business SME or IT analyst for 1–2 full ERP deployment projects preferred. Understanding of the software development life cycle and the ability to use Agile software development and/or ticket management systems (ADO, Jira) to track requirements and deliverables.
