You will be handed ambiguous, messy problems with little prescription on how to solve themExecute scrappy analyses on short timelines to get answers quickly, while also owning more scalable solutions that will make Anduril successful in the long termProject manage across many stakeholders. If you don’t like being the person leading meetings with large groups of people or managing large Slack channels to wrangle stakeholders towards a solution, this may not be the role for youWork across functions and learn Anduril’s business top-to-bottom. You will interact with Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and moreOwn detailed should cost models end-to-end, from on-the-ground gathering of data, through creating materials, to presenting them to stakeholdersBuild parametric cost models for a variety of products breaking down products into first principles including capability and physicsTying entire product life cycle costs together to forecast product business case viability, opportunities, and risksCreate novel frameworks for establishing a strong “value engineering” muscleEstablish transparency into material cost for existing and future Anduril productsBuild financial models that help set material cost targets for different productsWork with the Engineering and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement cost reduction roadmapsHelp executives think through tradeoffs in product features vs. costs vs. profitability“Red-Team” engineering plans from a financial / business perspectiveREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSYou have minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing finance, engineering finance, or value engineering role at a high growth hardware companyYou have a strong understanding of financial and accounting conceptsYou have strong analytical aptitude. You intuitively think about problems in terms of numbersYou are able to quickly execute analyses in ExcelYou have an ability to quantify complex often ambiguous problemsYou are willing to learn how to use corporate systems (e.g. Salesforce, Coupa, Anaplan) and analytic / dashboarding tools (e.g. Palantir Foundry)You are comfortable communicating broadly and having a lot of eyes on your work. This role can at-times require comms to large groups and senior leadershipYou enjoy working at a place where no one minds if you leave early one day to go to an appointment or run an errand, but you also don’t mind responding to Slacks in the evening while you’re watching NetflixMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBasic understanding of engineering design within one or more of the following: aerospace, software, maritime, or electronicsUnderstanding of configuration management principles and how to structure Bill of MaterialsFamiliarity with defense standards such as MIL-STD-881 and DOD MRA FrameworksUS Salary Range$99,000—$130,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
