Job Description

Fabricate, fit, weld, install, and repair carbon-steel and stainless-steel piping systems.

· Fabricate and weld structural-steel components, including supports, frames, platforms, brackets, and equipment bases.

· Install and modify copper, PVC, carbon-steel, and stainless-steel piping using the appropriate joining methods.

· Fabricate, install, modify, and repair HVAC ductwork, fittings, hangers, supports, and related components.

· Read and interpret piping isometrics, structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and field sketches.

· Perform accurate field measurements, layout, cutting, beveling, fit-up, leveling, alignment, and material preparation.

· Follow approved welding procedures, quality requirements, safety standards, and work-control processes while coordinating with other trades

Skills and Requirements

Demonstrated experience as a welder/fabricator performing both pipe and structural-steel work.

· Proficiency with applicable welding processes, including SMAW, GTAW/TIG, and GMAW/MIG or FCAW.

· Ability to pass required structural and pipe-welding qualification tests in assigned positions and materials.

· Working knowledge of copper, PVC, carbon-steel, stainless-steel, and HVAC duct systems and their joining methods.

· Ability to read piping isometrics, structural drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and fabrication details.

· Proficiency using welding machines, torches, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, layout tools, and measuring instruments.

· Ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in active industrial environments while lifting and positioning materials and equipment
