Sentara Obici is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our diabetes education team. This RN will work as our inpatient diabetes educator.
Hours: Full Time Day Shift - 8 hours a day. Occasional weekends for community events as needed.

A Diabetes Care and Education Specialist RN is a registered nurse with specialized knowledge and expertise in diabetes management and patient education. The role focuses on providing individualized care and support to patients with diabetes to help them effectively manage their condition. .

CDCES Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist - Certifications - Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) - (Required)
Experience
2 years of experience working with diabetic patients

Sentara Obici Hospital , a 175-bed state-of-the-art facility, is located on Godwin Boulevard in Suffolk, VA. As a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, the hospital specializes in orthopedic and spine, heart and vascular, advanced imaging, gynecological and comprehensive breast services, behavioral health, maternity, weight loss surgery, and a heartburn treatment center.
