Line Cook - Taco Reho

Job Description

Summary of Position: Taco Reho's Line Cooks are the heartbeat of our kitchen-bringing the flavor, the focus, and the fire to every shift. You'll execute our SoCal-inspired menu with consistency, speed, and pride, keeping things tight behind the line while the front of house keeps the party going. If you've got a love for bold food, loud music, and the hustle of a high-energy kitchen, this could be the perfect fit for you. Must Enjoy the Ride!

Duties & Responsibilities:

Knock out opening and closing duties like a pro
Cook meats, veggies, and other menu items using a range of equipment-grills, fryers, ovens, and more
Follow portion sizes, recipes, and prep procedures to keep quality tight and consistent
Keep your station clean, organized, and always up to health code
Stay on top of food rotation and storage practices
Communicate clearly with the team to keep the line flowing
Let leadership know when there's a product shortage or equipment issue
Show up with ideas-attend team meetings and help us keep evolving
Live the Taco Reho brand and make decisions that elevate the guest experience
Be ready to jump in wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smooth
Own your shift and take pride in every plate that hits the window

Qualifications:

1-3 years full-service restaurant kitchen experience preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary degree preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
Must possess strong understanding of cooking methods & procedures, and knife handling skills
Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
Ability to read & follow cooking directions and other instructions pertaining to the position
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Basic written & verbal communication skills
Must be organized with a self-starter & motivated work ethic
Must be a team player
Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materials up to 50lbs
