Recruitment And Retention NurseA key member in delivering and improving the processes of recruitment, onboarding and retention of all staff within Nursing Service, as well as all registered nurses within other services of Bay Pines VA Health Care System.Is a proficient nurse demonstrating proficiency in decision-making capabilities for complex situations that positively impact the performance of the recruitment and retention programs within nursing service.Participates in the recruitment and retention programs and other aspects related to the maintenance of a highly competent workforce for the facility.Functions as an internal consultant in assisting the improvement processes, programs, resources, and services related to recruitment and retention.Evaluates, organizes and maintains databases, prepares, reports, and works collaboratively with others to assess variances and project needs.Works collaboratively with nursing administration, leadership and Human Resources Management Service to meet resource needs.Develops strategic partnerships with internal (facility leadership, nursing staff, Human Resources) and external (colleges, universities, organizations) stakeholders to garner an applicable pipeline of candidates.Utilize their clinical knowledge and nursing process to assess the knowledge and experience of the candidate to assure they are in alignment with the outlined job requirements.Responsible for analysis for recruitment and retention data to assist the facility with development of workforce strategies and initiatives.Serves as a subject matter expert and consultant for leadership teams in implementing retention strategies.VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total RewardsPay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awardsPaid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VAInsurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territoryWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pmTelework: AdhocVirtual: This is not a virtual position.Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: May be authorized for a highly qualified candidatePreferred Experience: Prior recruitment experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for consulting with and training staff, and presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects. Progressive knowledge of Office of Personnel Management and Workforce Management and Consulting Regulations and procedures. Master's degree in nursing or a related field. At least 6 or more years of clinical nurse experience. Proficient in quality improvement tools and methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, PDSA) and skilled in data analysis and visualization (e.g. Excel, Power BI). Outstanding interpersonal skills, follow-through, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with recruitment, community partners, and academic affiliates is a plus.
