Data Center Mechanical Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operates and maintains watch over various central plant, Centrifugal Chillers, heating and building equipment, engine generators, circulating pumps and fans Manages regularly scheduled preventative maintenance according to a pre‑determined schedule Manages complex mechanical projects May maintain documentation such as power diagrams, network diagram and physical space usage Promote, support, and enforce NTT Data standards as they apply to the Facility Maintenance department Control and administer all activities in the Facility Maintenance department Responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, tooling and plant facilities Basic Qualifications 1+ years’ experience in critical facilities operations Additional Preferences Universal EPA Certification Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams Ability to handle physical workload In-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems Ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuit Technical aptitude Knowledge of local codes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Conflict management skills Detail‑oriented and highly organized – able to multi‑task Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, general software navigation Extensive commercial HVAC knowledge (centrifugal knowledge required) Moderate commercial plumbing knowledge (preferred) Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen Working knowledge of HVACR controls and sequence of operation Understand schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical plans and blueprints Good concepts of servicing both new and older equipment (if required) A willingness to learn new ideas, methods and perspectives Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Compensation and Benefits Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $67,000 – $102,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
