Medical Assistant - Multidisciplinary Neurological ClinicThe Medical Assistant roles assist with direct patient care, and perform specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol. Assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.Minimum Required Qualifications:High School graduate and successful completion of a Medical Assistant Training Program orMinimum 1-year total experience of Medical Assisting experience; Military Medic Training or EMT-Paramedic Training.0-2 years of relevant experience preferredHigh level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations preferredCurrent BLS Certification and/or experience with EMRs preferredThe university will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.Location: University Hospital (0870)Position Type: RegularScheduled Hours: 40Shift: First ShiftFinal candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
