Senior Fund Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role is ideal for a CPA with a strong foundation in public accounting who is looking to expand their experience within fund accounting and take on increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned funds and related entities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/quarter-end close
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain fund-level general ledgers and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
• Assist with investor reporting, capital activity, and fund-related transactions
• Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors
• Research and address technical accounting matters as needed
• Analyze financial results and investigate account variances
• Maintain supporting documentation and strengthen accounting processes and internal controls
• Work closely with leadership and other departments on accounting and reporting initiatives

Requirements:

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Active CPA required
• Big Four public accounting experience or a combination of public accounting and industry experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience with investment funds, private equity, alternative investments, or similar structures preferred
• NetSuite experience preferred
