Senior Accountant  |$60-72/ hr  | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm  / Contract

Job Description :

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support System Accounting with complex financial analysis, reconciliation oversight, and the development of accurate, meaningful reporting for leadership. This contractor will play a key role in strengthening financial statement integrity, improving processes, and guiding accounting staff. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, advanced accounting knowledge, and hands-on experience working with ERP and business intelligence systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

R esponsibilities :

• Perform complex accounting tasks and financial analysis for System Accounting.
• Contribute to the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and system-wide reporting.
• Complete and approve reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
• Develop clear, insightful variance analysis and financial analytics for leadership.
• Recommend improvements to accounting systems, procedures, and workflows.
• Retrieve, analyze, and interpret financial data using ERP and business intelligence tools.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to accounting staff as needed.
• Collaborate with hospital finance and administrative teams to support organizational goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of professional accounting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical abilities with experience performing and interpreting variance analysis.
• Proficiency retrieving and analyzing data from ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EPIC cash reconciliation.
• Lawson or BlackLine system experience.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $40-$44 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
