In this role, you will lead the execution of diverse generation and energy-focused projects, working alongside industry experts to deliver innovative solutions across power and thermal systems, district energy networks, renewable technologies, and utility infrastructure programs that create lasting value for our clients.What You'll Do:Lead proposal development and create clear scopes, schedules, and budgets in coordination with technical teamsServe as the primary client partner, addressing needs proactively and ensuring strong communication throughout each projectDevelop project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and direct task coordination across multidisciplinary project teamsManage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, and quality controls to keep work on track and aligned with contract requirementsOversee project financials—including budgets, forecasts, revenue, and cash flow—maintaining strong financial performanceDirect contract administration, subcontractor coordination, and critical project documentationLead regular project meetings and provide timely progress updates to clients and internal stakeholdersSupport marketing efforts, help identify new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of CHA’s Generation & Energy Management portfolioWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or related field requiredMinimum of 9 years of industry experience required, including 6 years of project management experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredExperience with substation design, district energy, or power generation projects strongly preferredPrior design engineering experience preferredProven ability to manage client relationships and interpret client contract requirementsDemonstrated experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents requiredExperience managing project accounting processes—including forecasting, budgeting, revenue, and cash flow—requiredExperience using Microsoft Office Suite required; familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek Vision preferredProven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environmentAbility to solve problems independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills with the ability to adapt style for various audiencesAbility to travel as needed requiredConsulting industry experience highly preferredWhy You'll Love It Here:Manage diverse assignments spanning power generation, thermal systems, renewable energy, district energy, and utility infrastructure initiativesExpand your leadership impact by mentoring project teams, building strong client relationships, and helping shape solutions from strategy through executionCurious about the impactful work our Generation & Energy Management team is doing? Salary Range:$125,000 - $140,000Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
