Job DescriptionDewberry is currently seeking a Project Manager for our geospatial, solutions, and analytics team in our Fairfax, VA office. Typical responsibilities include serving as the technical lead for development of geospatial applications for utility clients and supporting project managers in planning, executing, and delivering GIS projects. This position is also expected to support proposal writing and participate in related business development initiatives.This role blends project coordination, technical GIS work, and client-facing support, serving as a key operational lead across GIS project activities. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.ResponsibilitiesGIS Technical Work (50%)Lead GIS technical activities across project teams, including data development, mapping, analysis, application configuration, and system integration tasks, particularly for utility and public works clientsReview GIS deliverables for technical accuracy, completeness, and consistency with project requirementsSupport integration efforts involving enterprise GIS, CMMS/EAM systems, databases, and other enterprise platformsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior GIS staff as neededTask Management (25%)Support the Project Manager in day-to-day project execution, including task coordination, schedule tracking, and issue resolutionCommunicate with client technical and nontechnical staff about geospatial development tasks and progressBusiness Development (25%)Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teamsSupport proposal writing, serving as a technical capture manager on local and state proposal efforts Develop communication materials to include blogs, white papers, and presentationsRequired Skills & Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, geography or other relevant geospatial or data science related fieldAt least 5 years’ experience working with Esri technology including ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, and StoryMapsProficiency with ETL tools, such as FME or Microsoft Power AutomateFamiliarity with CMMS and EAM platforms and GIS integrationsAbility to work independently using strong organizational skills and operate effectively in team settings using an agile software development approachExperience with Esri Utility Network implementation is strongly desiredProficiency in technical writingCollaborative and team-oriented leadership styleDon’t meet every single requirement?
