Registered Nurse Endoscopy/GI

Job Summary:

The registered nurse in Endoscopy/GI will provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. This role involves collaboration with medical teams and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic and GI interventions.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels during procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians with technical aspects of Endoscopy/GI procedures.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information, procedures, and outcomes accurately.
  
  
• 
  Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients on post-procedure care and follow-up requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active California RN license with recent Nursys verification.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or ARC.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in Endoscopy or GI settings.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• 
  Capable of following detailed protocols and procedures.
  
  
• 
  Possess excellent communication and documentation abilities.
