Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time Patient Services Representative to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Edison Office. The Patient Services Representative serves as the primary point of contact for patients, providing support both in person and over the phone. This role is responsible for scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and delivering a high level of customer service while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and HIPAA compliance. Job Title: Patient Services Representative

Pay Rate: $22-23/ hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Type : Full-time

Job Title Duties (not limited to):

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone and in person, providing a professional, welcoming experience
  • Answer and manage high-volume incoming calls promptly, addressing inquiries or routing to appropriate departments as needed
  • Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments accurately based on provider availability
  • Register and check patients in using the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Enter, verify, and update patient demographics and insurance information in the system
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect applicable co-pays at time of service
  • Provide patients with information regarding office policies, procedures, and available services
  • Handle patient concerns with empathy, discretion, and effective problem-solving
  • Document all patient interactions, updates, and outcomes accurately in the EHR
  • Receive, distribute, and process incoming faxes and medical records, including scanning into patient charts
  • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards at all times
  • Deliver consistently high levels of customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and additional administrative duties as assigned
  • Adhoc responsibilities and duties.

Minimum Level of Education or Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience in a medical office, front desk, or call center environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of medical office workflows, insurance verification, and patient scheduling
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
