Financial Analyst II

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Financial Analyst II to support inventory finance operations within the Customer Channels Group. The role focuses on financial planning, analysis, and reporting to execute near and long-term objectives across research and healthcare markets, with on-site presence required four days per week in Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities

Execute monthly closing activities and ensure accurate financial reporting
Analyze transactional and operational data to identify variances and recommend accruals
Collaborate with business partners to correct errors, improve processes, and develop assumptions
Develop, standardize, and improve analyses and reports to support forecasting and budgeting
Identify process improvements using automation and AI technologies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business-related field
3–5 years of relevant financial experience in large global or matrixed organizations
Proficiency with Oracle, Power BI, Cognos, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present information concisely
Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and multitasking in fast-paced environment
Understanding of business processes, operations, and financial controls
