Staff Accountant

KBW is partnered with a long-standing, high-growth organization in Portsmouth, NH in their search for a Staff Accountant. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to take ownership of day-to-day accounting responsibilities while continuing to develop their career within a collaborative team environment. This opportunity has a good faith compensation range of $70,000 - $85,000 DOE. Responsibilities Perform day-to-day general accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and ensure financial information is accurate and complete Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and various balance sheet accounts Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed Prepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation Research and resolve discrepancies and assist with account analysis Assist with budgeting, reporting, audits, and other accounting projects as needed Work closely with internal teams to gather financial information and resolve accounting-related questions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 2+ years of accounting experience preferred; public accounting experience is a plus Strong understanding of general accounting principles Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Experience with an ERP or accounting system preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting
