Project Overview Supporting a custom automation build for the MiniMed project — 3 production lines, each with 3 large modules. Each module contains 6–11 stations (roughly 5–8 feet each) and will run offline through its own dedicated controller. Must-Have Skills PLC / HMI programming — Beckhoff experience strongly preferred If no Beckhoff experience: Rockwell with Structured Text or C# Cognex vision system knowledge a plus Custom automation background — this is not a production support role Genuine interest in support and debugging work — happy to discuss this further with interested candidates Not looking for wastewater industry experience Experience Requirements 5–10 years of experience Industry-relevant experience is the priority — education is not a major factor Schedule 40–50 hrs/week during the design phase 50–60 hrs/week during commissioning Design-to-commissioning timeline: 16–18 weeks Travel & Installation Installation site: Baja, Mexico Valid U.S. passport required at time of travel Onsite rotation: 6–8 weeks in Mexico per rotation total At peak, up to 24 people onsite Travel is expected roughly 50 weeks out — passport should be secured well in advance Interview & Location Interviews conducted via Teams Local candidates welcome to interview onsite Open to non-local candidates, but they must be willing to relocate/travel and work onsite 5 days/week at the worksite -their payrate should include per diem if they have to locate to Nashville for the project by the supplier. JR will cover EX to Mexico. • Develops and designs the controls software packages utilizing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and/or Human/Machine Interfaces (HMI) • Develops operation manuals that detail the functionality and set-up of the equipment being designed • Examines and understands customer-supplied specifications in order to ensure the functionality of the equipment meets these specifications • Ensures the equipment being started up and commissioned operates in accordance with the customer requirements as outlined in the approved specification • Programs robotic and/or controls equipment per the customer specifications • Performs preventative maintenance as requested by the customer to ensure minimum down-time and optimum operation of machines and equipment • Assists with checking design and details for proper functionality of both his/her work and the work of other engineers • Provides timely, required service documentation relating to all functions performed • Provides technical support and training to the end-user at the customer facility • Ensures products and services continue to be the benchmark within the industry • Demonstrates a commitment to Core Beliefs • Demonstrates a commitment to safe work practices while on *** or the customer’s premises • Other duties as assigned • Intermediate understanding of electrical circuits, electrical panel design, pneumatic design, hydraulic design, PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI's (Human Machine Interface), robot programming, VFD's (Variable Frequency Drive), servo application's, and device communication networks (DNET, ENET, and Profibus) • Ability to demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem solving skills • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, as well as Google Applications (such as Gmail, Calendar and Docs) • Ability to work onsite within the offices or at customer locations as required • Ability to meet deadlines without endangering the safety of himself/herself or others, or the integrity of the equipment • Ability to interact professionally with customers, and maintain a positive working relationship, which at times may be under difficult circumstances and/or high-pressure situations Start Date - End Date: Sep 28, 2026 – Sep 27, 2027 “Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.”
